TOEFL COURSE
 

TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) is an international exam designed to measure in understanding and using English for the English non-native speakers. TOEFL exam is a prerequisite for being admitted in the universities of USA and Canada and is accepted as a certificate of English in all the universities of the world.

OEFL iBT tests the four main tools in an effective communication: Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing in English. This test helps students show that they have the needed knowledge to be successful in understanding and communicating in English. The TOEFL exam is held in Albania too.

The Test has four parts. The first part, Reading gives some paragraphs and tests the ability to understand academic texts. The second part, Listening measures the ability to understand the standard spoken English in American colleges and universities. Speaking, the third part of the test measures the ability to express thoughts, experiences, and personal ideas or to summarize reading and listening parts that are given during the exam. The fourth part, Writing has two questions and measures the ability of the test taker to write in English.

The TOEFL course in MERIDIAN center prepares the course takers in all the four parts of the test using the most contemporary and efficient methods and materials and focuses in an interactive teaching engaging all students to be part of the lesson, thus improve their communicating skills. The course teachers are well prepared, some of them being foreign with English as their native language. The course is accompanied with the Multimedia in order to improve the students' skills in listening, understanding, and speaking English to the standards required by TOEFL. During the course our center organizes several trial iBT TOEFL exams in our center's laboratory in order to get used to the questions and the exam atmosphere. At the same time MERIDIAN center is an ETS approved center for the iBT TOEFL test.
