There are no prerequisites for gaining admission to a language program in the UK . Everyone is admitted to Language schools regardless of their English level. Students can study English according to their needs. There is no time limit. If you know none or very little English, the time needed to learn English is at least a year.
Your progress is directly linked to your hard work, your effort to spend time with your classmates and local people. If you study hard for 2 or 3 months, you will see a huge improvement in your language skills. Although it differs for each student, it is possible to advance in English in 6 months if the current level of English is intermediate. University Language programs and academic programs in Language schools have certain start dates while General English programs starts every Monday through out the year.
